About

Independent software research for service businesses.

StackMatch is an editorial publication comparing software in underserved B2B verticals — starting with pool service. The editorial team researches vendors, audits pricing, and ranks software by operator fit, not by who pays the most.

What StackMatch is

StackMatch is an editorial publication for service-business operators evaluating software. The starting vertical is pool service; cleaning and landscaping verticals are queued for 2026. Each vendor profile reflects research from primary sources — vendor websites, demo conversations, partner-portal data, and review aggregators — combined with editorial analysis from a research-team perspective.

The publication is funded by affiliate commissions when readers sign up for the tools we review. This funding model is disclosed on every page where affiliate links appear. Our editorial rankings are independent of which vendors offer affiliate programs — several of our top-ranked vendors pay us nothing.

Editorial team & bylines

StackMatch content is produced by the StackMatch editorial team. Pages are bylined "StackMatch Editorial Team" for primary research and analysis, or "StackMatch Research Team" for synthesis pieces and methodology updates. Where outside contributors participate, we credit them by name with their consent.

We intentionally do not center the publication around individual personalities. Our authority claim is methodology-based — we publish our research process, our scoring rubric, and our data sources so readers can audit them. See the full methodology for details.

How we rank

Research process

Each vendor profile begins with primary-source research:

Findings are synthesized into the structured frontmatter and editorial body that powers each vendor profile, comparison, and buyer's guide.
