Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of getstackmatch.com ("StackMatch", "the site"). By accessing or using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

What StackMatch is

StackMatch is an independent editorial publication that compares software for service businesses — currently pool service, cleaning service, and landscaping operations. Our content includes vendor profiles, side-by-side comparisons, buyer's guides, use-case recommendations, calculators, and decision tools. We publish our editorial methodology in detail at /methodology/.

Editorial content and accuracy

We make a good-faith effort to ensure accuracy of pricing, features, and vendor information. Software vendors change pricing, features, and program terms frequently; we refresh content at least quarterly but cannot guarantee real-time accuracy. Always confirm current pricing and features directly with the vendor before purchase decisions.

Editorial opinions on the site reflect our analysis as of the publication date. They are opinions, not financial or legal advice. Software purchase decisions should account for your specific business circumstances.

Affiliate disclosure (reaffirmed)

Some outbound links on the site are affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you sign up for a vendor through one of these links, at no additional cost to you. Affiliate links use the rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" attribute. Our editorial rankings reflect operator fit, not commission size — see our methodology for the full framework.

Intellectual property

All original editorial content (text, design, code, decision tools, calculators) on getstackmatch.com is copyright StackMatch and may not be reproduced in full without written permission. You may quote short excerpts (under 100 words) with attribution and a link back to the original article.

Vendor names, logos, and trademarks referenced on the site belong to their respective owners. We use vendor names and logos under nominative fair use for editorial comparison purposes only. We do not claim endorsement by, partnership with, or affiliation with any vendor referenced on the site beyond what is explicitly disclosed in our affiliate disclosure.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Disclaimer

The site and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the site will be available without interruption, error-free, or free of security vulnerabilities. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

StackMatch is not responsible for the products, services, or business practices of third-party software vendors referenced on the site. Your relationship with any vendor (free trial, purchase, support, refund, etc.) is exclusively between you and that vendor.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StackMatch and its editorial team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the site or your reliance on its editorial content. Our total cumulative liability for any direct damages is limited to $100 USD.

External links

We link to third-party vendor websites, review platforms (Capterra, G2, Software Advice), and other resources. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or business practices of these external sites. Your interactions with linked vendors are governed by their terms, not ours.

Vendor relationships

We have affiliate relationships with some software vendors we cover, disclosed at /methodology/ and in the privacy policy. These relationships do not affect editorial rankings or written analysis. We will accept Featured Listings from vendors at clearly-marked prices (see /sponsor/), but Featured status affects visual placement only — never editorial evaluation.

We do not accept payment for editorial rankings, removal of negative coverage, exclusion of competitors, or written reviews controlled by vendors.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless StackMatch from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these terms or your misuse of the site.

Termination

We may restrict or terminate your access to the site if you violate these terms. We may also modify or discontinue any part of the site at any time without notice.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the site will be resolved in the appropriate US courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
