StackMatch ("we", "our", "us") publishes editorial comparisons of software for service businesses. This policy describes what data we collect when you use getstackmatch.com, how we use it, and your rights.

Information we collect
Analytics (automatic)
We use Plausible Analytics to understand site usage. Plausible is privacy-friendly: it does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information. We see aggregate data — referring sources, page views, country-level location, browser type, screen size — never individual user paths or identities.
Plausible's data is hosted in the European Union (EU) and is fully GDPR, CCPA, and PECR compliant. Plausible's data policy.
Newsletter / email capture (optional, opt-in)
If you submit your email address to receive our buyer's checklist or future content, we process that address through Loops (loops.so), our email service provider. We collect:
- Email address (required, submitted by you)
- Submission source (which page you opted in from)
- Open and click activity on emails we send (standard ESP tracking)
We use this data to deliver content you opted in for and to measure engagement. You can unsubscribe with one click from any email; that removes your address from our mailing list immediately.
Affiliate link tracking
When you click a vendor link marked with rel="sponsored", we append UTM parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) to the destination URL. This lets us measure which editorial content drives clicks. The vendor then sees the UTM data on their side. We do not pass personal information about you to vendors — only that the click originated from StackMatch and which page it came from.
Some affiliate programs use first-party cookies set by the vendor's domain (not ours) to attribute conversions. Those cookies are governed by the vendor's privacy policy, not ours.
What we do not collect
- No third-party advertising cookies
- No social media tracking pixels
- No retargeting / remarketing data sent to ad networks
- No personal information beyond your opt-in email address
- No user accounts — there is nothing to log into on this site
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict our processing of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time (one-click unsubscribe from emails)
- Lodge a complaint with your data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@getstackmatch.com. We respond within 30 days.
Data retention
- Analytics: Plausible retains aggregate data indefinitely; no individual data is retained.
- Email list: We retain your email address until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Inactive subscribers (no email opens in 12 months) are automatically pruned.
- Click tracking: Aggregate click data is retained for editorial and revenue analysis; it does not include personal information.
Children
StackMatch is a B2B publication for service business operators. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has submitted data to us, email privacy@getstackmatch.com and we will delete it.
International users
StackMatch is operated from the United States. By using this site, you consent to the processing of your data as described in this policy. Data is processed by our service providers in the EU (Plausible) and US (Loops, Cloudflare Pages hosting).
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be announced via our newsletter and at the top of this page.
